Backsplash - 2x8 tile - Do you know if there is any retailer that sells this 2x8 tile in Edmonton or Calgary? I contacted the store in TO but have yet received a response from them. Having a difficult time finding this marble in a 2x8 size.

My sister has these same cabinets and she is in the process of choosing her backsplash. I have different cabinets but am going to do stacked not staggered 2x8 or staggered 4 x12 for a little contemporary edge.

A lot of companies use names to describe their products that are specific just to their brand. Sometimes that will throw you off when you search for it so dont feel bad. I know Rubio Monocoat makes a very similar product with 0% VOC thats very nice.

If you use a 48" Range must a 48" vent be used? We are building the vent inside a hood.

The installer did a fantastic job!
You can acheive this look by choosing a grout colour that disappears into the tile and using a 1/16" grout joint.

What Houzz contributors are saying:

KitchenLab | Rebekah Zaveloff Interiors added this to Top 9 Hardware Styles for Flat-Panel Kitchen Cabinets
Whether they're smaller tabs in silver or longer tabs in black, their look completely changes the kitchen. Strong black lines on the tops of all the drawers in this kitchen create a cool vintage-modern contrast.
Shane D. Inman added this to 8 Top Tile Types for Your Kitchen Backsplash
Herringbone tile. Add loads of texture to your kitchen with tile in a herringbone pattern. Many tiles in the herringbone pattern can be purchased on a mesh backing (usually a 12- by 12-inch backing material on the underside of the tile that holds several pieces together), which means you won't have to lay out each and every individual piece.
Laura Gaskill added this to Simple Pleasures: Treat Yourself to Cut Flowers
Maintain your arrangement. Check the water level daily and add water as needed. When you spy a bloom that is fading, take it out. Once your arrangement is looking a little sparse, extend it further by cutting the stems short and transferring them to bud vases.Keep supplies neat and ready. Always wash your vases with hot, sudsy water and rinse them well before storing. Residue from an old flower arrangement can make the next one you put in go bad faster. Store flower-arranging supplies near the sink. You don’t need much — a basket containing an assortment of vases and shears stored under the sink would do nicely.
Lisa Higgins added this to Dream Spaces: 12 Beautiful White Kitchens
Who needs custom cabinetry? These glossy white beauties are from Ikea (Akurum Abstrakt) and are accented with angular dark bronze pulls from Rocky Mountain Hardware. The showstopping herringbone marble backsplash is fashioned out of 2- by 8-inch Calacatta Michelangelo tiles. HanStone quartz (Aurora Snow) covers the countertops. The lesson here? It’s OK to splurge in some areas and save in others.
Toronto Interior Design Group | Yanic Simard added this to How to Add Color if You’re Color Shy
Flowers. In spaces without many soft furnishings, flowers are an excellent way to add an ever-changing burst of color. Notice how the only truly colorful items here are the bright blossoms and a lone tea towel, and yet the space still feels like it carries a pink and purple color scheme.Tip: Keeping your kitchen in blooms doesn’t have to be expensive. A cluster of carnations in a simple glass vase can keep your counter rosy for a few dollars a week.
