Hi, the vintage shelving system (called the CSS) is by George Nelson for Herman Miller. These were from Reeves Antiques in Houston, but can be found on occassion online or from various dealers.

thank you so much! I thought that was the manufacturer, but hadn't seen the supports in profile and they look much thicker than I had imagined.

These are vintage Hans Wegner PP501 chairs (the PP503 is more commonly found), also referred to as "The Chair" or "The Kennedy Chair". Old ones like these can be found from various dealers, but new ones licensed from PP Mobler can still be purchased from retailers like the Danish Design Store.

What Houzz contributors are saying:

Mike Dietrich added this to Travel Takeaways: Decorating Lessons From a Lavish Paris Hotel
Here a huge painting accompanies small-scale seating, giving an airy and uncrowded feel to a midcentury modern living room in California.
Janell Beals - House of Fifty added this to Move Over, Neutral Sofa — Here Comes Color
A teal midcentury sofa brings a fresh accent of color to a space with honey-toned floors and white walls while coordinating with several abstract canvases. Why it works: White walls and pale wood tones create a neutral backdrop for the bright colors of the sofa, art and accessories. The success of the room comes through the even distribution of color throughout the living space and adjoining sleeping area in a balanced manner.
