The kitchen table, crafted by a local artisan using salvaged redwood and douglas fir from the building site, is the center of daily family meals. The 1940’s Magic Chef double oven range—inherited from the client’s family—was restored and incorporated seamlessly into its new modern environment.

its a recessed spacer between stove and cabinet, he stove is not insulated so we needed to keep it ±4" away from any combustible surfaces (adjacent cabinetry) There is one on the far side of the stove as well

Great Color Gray! So many people are doing gray in kitchens now--- it has such a cool, fresh feel.

I love this kitchen! (And the rest of their work too...). The backsplash looks like it is made of mosaic brick-style glass tiles.

Know your vintage brands. When you are shopping for a vintage appliance, familiarize yourself with some of the most popular brands from the period that interests you. Shown here is a fully restored vintage Magic Chef stove. Other brands to watch for include Wedgewood, Hotpoint, Chambers and Frigidaire.
