In your photo, the trim (baby seal black) appears to be a slightly lighter color than the body (deep space). Here are the color samples I got from BM. The left side is baby seal black and the right side is deep space. Granted these samples don’t have a sheen on it. But the baby seal black looks darker than the deep space. Can anyone help?

You got …Dark Blue-Gray: You crave drama and aren’t afraid to adorn your home in deep, dark hues. Dark blue-gray house colors are best in mild to cooler climates and might not go over well if you have a homeowners association to contend with.If you can pull it off, however, your reward will be an unusual, elegant color scheme that will make your home stand apart from the neighbors. Some dark blue-grays to try are Smoky Pitch from Valspar and Hale Navy from Benjamin Moore.

Your house is …Italianate: You’re a bit of a romantic. You gravitate toward large, detailed porches with decorative eaves. Your favorites houses have strong columns and arches, bracketed cornice details and other artistic flourishes.See more on Italianate style

While San Francisco is full of Victorian-era architecture, it is more specific to label the Italianate examples as romantic-era designs, like this one. Defining characteristics are the bracketed cornice details and the segmental arched windows.Variations on window configurations are common throughout this style. Notice how the front of the house feels classical at first glance, but the proportions and lines are taller and more attenuated.
