Amy BIrdsongTraditional Kitchen

I collaborated with the owner (an amazing interior designer) on the space and cabinet planning. She designed the hood- it has a wooden frame with hand made wooden corbels which was then plastered over.

Hi- It is a custom color with glaze and distressing by Heritage Woodworks in Suffolk Va. The color was based on Farrow and Ball's Lamp Room Gray #88 and then was rubbed back, worm holed and glazed.

What are the dimensions of the Broan? The Lacanche strongly recommends 24-27" depth on the venting?

Not that deep- but I haven't heard there were any problems. I would imagine Lacanche's depth recommendation is for the overall hood capture zone itself- not the actual powerpack depth since the vents themselves don't take up the whole depth (does that make sense?).

Hi- thanks for the question. The owner designed and had the curtains custom made by a local seamstress. The material is a thick, natural colored linen with self welts for the scallop design. A good seamstress should be able to replicate something similar if you show them a picture. Take care-

Hi- The owner bought it years ago from an antique dealer in Atlanta and stored it until she could use it. Circa Lighting has similar light fixtures- check out their website- it's my favorite.

I like the upholstered bench having the little wooden lip to allow it to slip under the island so it looks built in but is still able to be moved if needed.
