Pantry narrow shelves side wall - shemmyh
This kitchen was refaced in white laminate recessed panel doors that have been glazed to highlight the decorative detailing on the doors. Conveniences such as two tip out trays, a trash roll out and three full extension roll out shelves have been added for further ease of use. A custom desk was built against one wall. The design was heavily inspired by a particular antique, and features a cherry wood desktop in espresso.

This was part of a full home interior and exterior remodel with Lynbrook of Annapolis. The client wanted to lighten, brighten and update the home from top to bottom. The transformation is truly incredible and the home looks like a brand new home. WoodMode cabinetry was incorporated throughout with thoughtful and well executed details to keep the space transitional but incorporate some of the homes more traditional aspects. White and gray palettes along with marbles make the whole space dreamy and welcoming.

Twenty years after building a custom home, our clients decided to remodel their kitchen with updated materials and colors.
We removed the existing column to free up space between the kitchen and breakfast area. All new stainless steel appliances were chosen and the electric range was replaced by a large six burner gas oven. To add more storage space, 30” cabinets were replaced by 42” cabinets in “white porcelain”. Translucent glass cabinets with interior lights were an interesting accent without exposing the inside. The enlarged island in a “shadow pewter” now sits four people. It houses many outlets, recycling, and a drawer microwave. Black and white granite in “Alaska white” bridges the color scheme between the two cabinetry colors. Elegant accessories such as large cylinder pendants, black farm sink, and opaque glass wall tile created a uniquely coordinated style.
In addition to the main kitchen area, our clients wanted to enlarge their existing pantry. Keeping with the new color scheme, the panty now with double its size holds dry goods on the right side and a bar area with floating shelves on the left. A rolling black barn door was installed to be creative and functional.
The kitchen renovation at Dewey Street involved removing several walls and accommodating existing services within those walls. Ceiling mounted cabinets provide discrete, but much needed storage for certain items, while the granite counter extends as a ‘coffee bar’ and seating for guests. The finished galley kitchen allows a more open floor plan for the homeowner and visitors to enjoy. Melanie Hartwig-Davis (sustainable architect) of HD Squared Architects, LLC.
