    Sydorcaro - you can buy specific "above the stove" microwaves. The microwave unit usually includes a vent fan for the stove.

    I was planning on putting in a dishwasher also but have been discouraged by some people saying that if you don't use it a few times a month it will stop working... I know these things break if not used... what do you guys think?

    I have a 24" standard dishwasher in the Bar area of our walkout basement. Have had it for 7 yrs. & only use it once a year. No problems. No leaking. (It's a Kenmore).

Fridge Doors

- Am I the only one who noticed that the fridge doors are opening to the side of the corridor, rather than the kitchen? You should flip them immediately, because form should follow function, not the other wa around.
