white dove paint chip looks totally different than actual paint on wall (much warmer) but does the trim always have to be white? I am toying with the idea of doing the wainscoting, baseboard & crown molding in BM mirage white 2116-70 which is in the same cast of dreamy cloud but much lighter. what are your feelings about that?
to give you an idea of the space, the room is 5'5 x 5'4 has one fairly large window, the floors will be a med dark hardwood with Kohler's Memoirs Stately 30" pedestal sink & toilet in white. the faucet, RH "bistro" tilt mirror (24x30) & accessories in polished chrome. want to get the Lee Jofa fabric for shade. thanks

Sounds like a good idea. That way it won't clash with the wrong undertone. Safe choice

The background is white/off white and the embroidered pattern is silver, kind of metallic.

I've enjoyed looking at the Mandarina Studio page. Beautiful pics. Can you tell me where to get the great double towel bar. It is difficult to find one this length. Thanks!

The window was original to the house. I don't know the manufacturer, sorry.

          What Houzz contributors are saying:

Keep extra towels on hand. In case your guests decide to purify themselves in the waters of Lake Minnetonka.

          6. Picture rail. Continuing our journey up, closer to the top of the wall you'll find the picture rail. This trim piece originally served as a support to hang pictures on, as plaster walls weren't the best and could be easily damaged by all of those picture hooks nailed into the wall. Of course, with the advent of inexpensive pictures hooks that can be easily nailed into a wall to support just about any size picture, the picture rail has lost its utilitarian function. Now this piece of trim is used mostly as a decorative element to divide the wall into horizontal layers.
