A new start to a journey with a fresh remodel– that’s how our Minneapolis homeowners chose to embark into their retirement journey. What previously had been two small closets was converted into the owner’s newly added on-suite.
With an addition to the side of the home creating more room in the owner's bedroom, the hope to incorporate a second bathroom in the upper level was within reach. A pocket door was installed to eliminate wasted space, and allow access to the marbled tile shower. The former closet window was replaced, now ensuring privacy of the bathroom and allowing natural light to shine onto the Jeffrey Court tiles that fill the space.
The custom vanity, built by Trademark Wood Products, is a beautiful focal point upon entering. By integrating wood panels, the vanity wall becomes a built-in piece, a furniture item one may have found in the home’s original era. Two tall shaded Hubbardton Forge sconces set a contemporary and romantic appearance.

The reason for the open plan was to maintain natural light throughout the attic. However, the bathroom was a challenge because it has privacy walls. Our designer opted to use continuous clerestory glass panels that wrap around the corner of the bathroom enclosure. These custom glass pieces allow light to flow from the dormers and skylight into the bathroom. The bathroom door is frosted to maintain privacy but also let in natural light.
The modern bathroom has a floating dark wood vanity that provides plenty of storage including a laundry basket. The toilet is in a separate room for privacy.

This elegant bathroom blends natural warmth with modern simplicity. A rich wood vanity, quartz countertop, and brushed brass fixtures add depth and texture against the crisp white walls. Soft lighting and a neutral palette create a calm, timeless look.

The room's centerpiece is a sleek freestanding oval bathtub with a stylish floor-mounted brass tub filler, which adds a touch of sophistication and warmth. The tile surrounding the tub is laid vertically, offering a fresh take on a classic pattern and drawing the eye upward. Across the room, a warm wood double vanity provides ample storage with a mix of cabinets and drawers, complementing the natural light that fills the space. Above the vanity, a simple brass light fixture and a large, frameless mirror complete the modern aesthetic. The floor is a large-format gray tile, which provides a neutral and grounding foundation for the space.

After purchasing this home my clients wanted to update the house to their lifestyle and taste. We remodeled the home to enhance the master suite, all bathrooms, paint, lighting, and furniture.

In the late 1990’s this bathroom was en vogue but styles can change drastically in 20 years. We removed an over sized jetted tub and carpet from the master bath along with bold wall paper and border. In place of the tub we custom built a seating area, increased the size of the shower and added a rain head fixture. Heated tile flooring, new lighting and a new vanity complete this beautiful master bath in a rural Delavan home. The homeowners couldn’t be happier with their new space and relaxing bathroom oasis.

This bathroom was original to the house. We wanted to create a mid century modern feel so we knocked down the wall between the vanity and the shower and replaced it with a glass door. To make the space feel larger we extend the hexagon tiles from the bathroom all along the back wall. Shelves were added to increase storage space and of course all materials, fixtures and cabinets were updated.

A merge of modern lines with classic shapes and materials creates a refreshingly timeless appeal for these secondary bath remodels. All three baths showcasing different design elements with a continuity of warm woods, natural stone, and scaled lighting making them perfect for guest retreats.
