What is the thickness of the glass surrounding the shower?

  • PRO
    Graf Developments

    The glass is 3/8" thick

Thanks, that's what I thought (and what my contractor alluded to) but since I was running into the pans I wasn't sure and I wanted to make sure that they did it right! We are also sinking the jacuzzi tub so lots of rework on the subfloor will be needed.

You do not have to modify your floor joist system at all if you use a Tuff-Form tile over shower system. This thin (7/8") pre-pitched floor is structural. All your contractor has to do is remove the plywood or gypsum subfloor and put this floor in its place, then water proof, thin set and tile. Fast, easy and cost efficient. Tuff-Form comes in a multitude of sizes and can be cut on site to fit any size shower area. Go to www.designwithoutbarriers.com for more information.
BTW Tile Redi is not structural. It's a foam core based system and requires additional structural support.

I like all of it. It looks rich and really flows together. My bathroom layout is like this and we are considering updating. I've been trying to get a certain look and not succeeding until I saw this. My husband really likes it as well...we finally agree on what our bath could look like. Thank you for responding so quickly.

Thank you. It was a collaboration with a great designer and a great client. It's all about the team. It takes all three to make a project go well. Good luck with yours, and if you are in the DFW area, I can help you with it.

Denise, it's funny how many people have asked about the stained glass and it's the only thing we didn't do. It came with the house, so I don't have an answer for you.

Brenda, we paint all trim for two reasons...one, it wouldn't match the over-all style of the house and two, the cabinets in this bathroom were stained and they needed to stand out from the rest of the bathroom.

Am I understanding correctly that the hand shower is a Kohler that is connected to a Moen grab bar?

I'm afraid I can't answer that and neither can the home owner, it came with the house.

Window designed by homeowner and in place at time of remodel. Artisan no longer in business.

Actually, the window is the only part of the bathroom we did not do, it was already there. It came with the house when our clients purchased the home.

The size is roughly 3-1/2' tall x 5' wide for just the square part.

Yes it is, good eye... or eyes, I'm assuming.

Anyway, to be exact it is...Daltile Ayers Rock Golden Ground in 20" x 20"

Let's just say this, 9' would really be pushing it and you wouldn't have a seat in the shower. This allows a minimum of 3' for shower and 6' for the tub with a little extra room for tub decking.

That was a color match of an article in the house, so I don't have a name for you.

It is called... Daltile Ayers Rock Golden Ground in 20" x 20". The city and state are not important as you can order it from wherever you are.

Moving from far right to left... hot water lever, tub spout, cold water lever, hand-held sprayer, and diverter lever to change from tub spot to sprayer.

Interesting color combinations. But we don't want a bath tub.
