These are beautiful stairs! Would greatly appreciate your input on a couple of things: 1) Is there a trick to doing the stairs straight into the Sheetrock that keeps the paint from cracking around the steps? We did a similar staircase but we are having to do a repair because the paint and Sheetrock is chipping along the edge of the step going into the wall.. 2) how did you do the lights under the stairs? Is there a cut out in the step? What brand of light did you use? 3) last question: are the steps solid pieces or is it the same wood planks as the flooring? Thank you so much for your help, we are having to do our stairs again unfortunately, and these stairs really are exactly what we had hoped it would look like originally, and instead did not turn out well...
