These slipcovers where made from Ikea drapes called Merete on sale right now @ Ikea for $19.99 a pair . I use this fabric on all my slip covered pieces and yes it's durable for many a wash,Then use local seamstress to make them. recommend washing fabric first. this is an in expensive way to go for yardage. Yes - just select well-tailored slipcovers rather than those one-size-fits-none covers.

they are linen shades that the homeowner got from Ikea and then

The organic side of cotton. Traditional cotton plantations around the world rely on a lot of pesticides and chemicals to grow the crop. Organic cotton is definitely a move in the right direction, but the fibers may still be subjected to chemical treatments during the bleaching or dyeing process. If you want to avoid as many chemicals as possible, choose an organic cotton in its natural colors (cream, tan or light green).

White palettes count. I want to debunk the thought that whites don't count as a palette. Different shades of white make a soothing living space and can enhance architectural details. If you enjoy a constantly changing environment, then white might be your color. Color can be brought in with flowers and seasonal changes on pillow fabrics.

White Linen and WoodSlipcovers in neutrals are great for a classic look. Create interest with textured fabrics for cushions and throws. If you are lucky enough to have a house right by the beach, (or even if you don't) wooden floors not only are practical but look very classy. For an elegant look, use bleached wood floorboards. Or, if you want to give your room a more traditional feel, then go for some dark wood boards in a wide width.

Highlight the architecture. The most interesting all-white rooms have well-defined bones — otherwise, the lack of strong color can make them seem plain and insipid. Take advantage of a diversified white palette to showcase their structure. Coat ceiling beams, coffers, moldings, beadboard, wainscoting or other architectural features in one shade, then use a different one on other surfaces to create a sense of relief.

White slipcovers are synonymous with beach interiors. Allowing for the occasional sandy smudge, slipcovers can be pulled off and thrown in the wash.

In this indoor/outdoor all-white space, the addition of the large white Staffordshire dog on the table, paired with the black shade of the lamp, adds warmth and formality to the otherwise casual room. The contrast between the loosely slip-covered chair and the traditional porcelain creates an authentically eclectic aesthetic.

All-white decor adds light and widens a space. You can feel openness and energy flowing liberally in an all-white room. Many colors blend perfectly with this concept, especially greens, blues and oranges. Pick your favorite shade and add it in meager amounts to prevent a disruption of the airy feel.
