Example of a mid-sized classic home design design in Austin

Boerne - Edge CreekTraditional , Austin

This corner shower was constructed from a large soaking tub and small shower. It was all removed and a 4X4 shower was built. The bench is the same granite as the Vanity. The frameless shower enclosure was installed with oil rubbed bronze hardware. Kohler ADA grab bars were installed and the shower was outfitted in Delta fixtures. The shower floor is cut pebbles.

I have installed about 20 pebble floors and have had no complains. The pebbles are sliced and polished for a smooth finish. There is more grout and require more maintenance. I use the sliced pebble 12X12 squares from Interceramic Tile. They have a national distribution. They polish the stones which give the floor a wet look.

Get the shaved pebbles. The whole pebbles can be too much for some people's feet, and it gets tricky with the grout since either there is way too much grout or too much pebble showing. The shaved pebbles still feel good on the feet. Had ours put in 6 months ago, and I absolutely love them. I use my squeegee lightly at the end of my shower to try to keep the floor as dry as possible, and have had no problems keeping it clean.

The granite was a remnant and I don't remember the name of it. I think it was "Beach" but different suppliers sometimes have their own naming scheme to make it harder to compare pricing.

Greg. I believe this shower was 48X48. Interior with build out was about 42X42. The bench was 15 inches deep.

The grout is by Custom Building Products. The color is "Bone". Custom Building products is carried at Home Depot or most tile wholesalers.
