Ha! I have a sample of Swiss Coffee that I was going to use in our current home. Now that we've bought a house and yours has proven to be such great inspiration, I can't wait to paint the whole thing Swiss Coffee. Thanks for your second quick reply!

Love the look. I can't help but notice that both the total removal of the porch overhang and awning, as well as the addition of somewhat reflective patio components, must've added a huge energy use penalty to the house in terms of cooling, though.

Anne Rowley: Though there is solar gain from removing those existing shading components (that were in terrible shape), curtains and opening the Kitchen and Living Room windows mitigate the heat - cross ventilation. In fact, the house is located two miles from the Pacific Ocean and the ocean breeze gusts through the adjacent alley and through the house. We never use AC.

Steven Keller: Thank you. We are not certain about the wood species and there is no finish on the wood -just natural. Each wood lath piece is 1 5/8" wide.

Try the lumber stores in your area and ask if they know of anyone who has mobile saw mill.
