Boulder Condo Bath Renovation-After Photo

Contemporary Bathroom, Denver

My client moved into a beautiful, modern condo with exceptional detail throughout, except for the dated bath. We gutted the room leaving only the maple cabinet and door. Removing the tub and replacing it with a large walk in shower with a glass wall helped us to open up the space. A mix of small glass and large travertine tiles, Cifial faucets and shower system combined to create a spa like feel to the room. The crystal bath bar fixture added a glamorous touch to the space. I spoke with Lee from A Ability Glass in Boulder, Co as he did this original installation for the Carlsons. He said "a channel was used to secure the glass on the bottom edge a channel was also used along the vertical edge also to secure the glass to the wall. The 3/8” thick tempered glass is architectural in strength an will most always be strong enough to only secure two edges. Since this particular installation, we have updated our installation procedure and now use 2” X 2” square glass clips to secure the glass panel to wall/curb to create a maintenance free ultra frameless design." Hope this helps.
