Is the hood just an enclosure over a normal vent hood? I am assuming that result could also be achieved with wood?

Hello Randi, fairly often we custom build the vent hoods on our projects. Typically how we do this is purchase the vent blower unit, build an frame to correct size either out of wood or metal and then contract a company to custom wrap the frame.
