      10. Saffron and spice. Deep goldenrod yellow is an upbeat, spirited hue. The spicy tone of deep yellow works well with other spice-inspired hues, so try it with cushions in cinnamon, curry, mustard seed and clove. Walls painted saffron also make a wonderful base color for arrangements of artwork; finish your breakfast nook with framed artwork and objects hung gallery style.Tell us: Do you have a colorful breakfast nook? I love the mustard yellow paint on the walls. It brings the paintings hung on the wall and the colourful-cushion design together. If I were to sit in a space like this, I would be so stimulated to work, create and engage! Great conversations could be had here! I'm in love with everything!

The saffron wall color is perfect. I also like the array of cushions, which gives me good ideas for other warm colors that would go well with saffron. Have been searching on “ochre” colors recently, and sometimes people call ochre, “saffron.” I think true saffron has a more red tone than this. But I keep circling back to this color.
