Built-in wood species/stain - This is a beautiful built-in. Can you please share the type of wood used and the stain. I love the warmth of it against the white trim work - it is so timeless. Thanks in advance for your help.

These look exactly like mine that were bought unfinished in about 1970 and are In great condition after all those years of use .Ethan Allen had them too. I've been thinking of painting them.

Yes - they were purchased at an estate sale or something to that effect.

The floor in the dining room is red oak - standard three coat satin poly finish and the transition was done the same.

Are there recessed lights inside the old closet, or just in the room? Are they aimed at the buffet?

The lights are recessed in the ceiling directly behind the shallow beam. They are low voltage gimbal fixtures that are aimed at the buffet.

That was actually purchased by the owner and was in the home prior to the renovations - and I believe it was originally from PB or Rest Hardware.
