Before installing any Cement Tile I would recommend reviewing the most up-to-date and comprehensive Cement Tile guide in the USA: https://www.prettyhandygirl.com/how-to-install-cement-tiles/

I think this will help people avoid some easy mistakes and get wonderful installations like this.

This is a custom stain that I developed with my custom cabinetry maker. I don't have any specifications on it--it has quickly become a favorite especially for islands! It appears a little bit pink in this photo, but isnt really in real life. Thanks for your interest!

Cement tile backsplash in "Nantes" by Original Mission Tile. Reach out to them directly to find out where to purchase in your area.

Could you tell me what you used under your cement tile so that you don't have to cut the 8" tile? Is that a regular thickness tile? I have a range top along my cement tile wall, had a granite riser, but I didn't have them pull the range top cab out so I'm not sure what to do behind the cooktop. Maybe a stainless riser up the hood...

Sizes are indicated on the floor plan. Let me know if you have trouble reading them

Beautiful layout. Where can I see the floorplan? I would like to know 1) The distance of the wall that the double oven/sink/fridge are on. And 2) Island size.

This is a 5 foot window, yes. I don't know the brand, but I always recommend LePage windows. Love their quality.

It is most definitely solid hardwood, as all our cabinets are! In this case we used birch with a custom stain that we call "Driftwood".

    13. The Calm After the StormAfter Hurricane Sandy destroyed their previous kitchen, these homeowners rebuilt with a calming gray color palette and lots of storage. Jeannie Matteucci added this to Kitchen of the Week: The Calm After the StormJul 11, 2014

“After” photos by Neil LandinoAFTER: A calming gray color palette gives the new 450-square-foot kitchen a rustic and rural modern feel. “I wanted to bring in the idea of calmness and serenity,” says Robertson. “We wanted to maximize brightness, minimize cabinetry, but still have lots of storage.” A single-wall layout with custom white painted maple cabinets and drawers, a walk-in pantry and a multipurpose island make this kitchen user-friendly.A triple-casement sink window centered between a pair of double ovens and the refrigerator creates symmetry. A walk-in pantry by the double ovens provides additional storage without adding visual clutter.
