Classic Coastal Colonial Renovation - the MudroomTraditional Entry, Newark
The functionality of the mudroom is great. The door, painted a cheery shade called “Castaway,” brings a smile to your face every time you leave. It's affectionately referred to by the homeowners as the "Smile Door."

What Houzz contributors are saying:
Mudrooms are generally small, narrow spaces. The blue on the door in this mudroom brightens up the space and adds a dash of personality.
Blue: Consider also transforming your entryway by painting the interior side of the door, too. This shade adds energy to this hallway.
The mudroom was a great practical addition for this growing family. The couple brightened up the space with apple green baskets and a cheerful turquoise door. "This door is very special to us," Ellie says. "My husband calls it the 'smile door' because it makes him smile every morning when he leaves for work."Tile: Tumbled TravertinePaint color: Castaway by Dunn Edwards
Saved to my inspiration file: Paint your door turquoise. It's so much more fun than basic white.
