Does the water in this feature flow, or is it standing water? I love the look!

Raised Water Garden - Does anyone have an idea of what grasses are planted in the water garden? And also, how to line the bed of the water garden as well?

This looks awesome! What is the "gravel" or rock that is used as the walkways? Thanks

The gravel is a 5/8 "- dark Skagit grey, laid over structural fabric that the edging block is glued to. This keeps it in plane and level. Scott Lankford was the landscape architect for this project and you can check out his Houzz site: ww.houzz.com/pro/scottlankford/lankford-associates-landscape-architects.

Thanks for asking !

What Houzz contributors are saying:

Becky Harris added this to Houzz Tour: A Washington Farmstead Celebrates Its Site
Part of the cross axis in the entry garden is this concrete fountain, which also ties in the property's history. The fountain functioned as a cow trough in its former life.
Billy Goodnick Garden Design added this to Give Curb Appeal a Self-Serving Twist
As revealed from this side view of the same area, the inner courtyard is a space unto itself, not only enriching the arrival view for guests, but acting as a work of art when viewed from the porch and inside the house.Tour more of this Washington farmstead

Cool front area - maybe in front of guest room and maybe can fence dog in?
sudsmom added this to 215 Garage & Front
Combination of mulched planting beds with flagstone and gravel paths lined with stone edging, main path looks like interlocking or stamped concrete
Lindsay Daniel Architecture added this to Front courtyards
multiple uses in this courtyard and low stone wall surround along with a view created from sitting on the porch.
