Also you need smaller tiles on the shower floor with grout to help prevent from slipping!

What color grout do,you recommend with getting a "seamless" look with Carrara Marble?
  • PRO

    Hi kdconnors,

First you would want to get the Carrara marble and from there match the grout color as close as you can to the stone. As there is variation in color of Carrara from lot to lot, you need the marble first before you can really make that call.

Once you get the marble you may also decide to go in a different direction of grout color, sometimes the best grout colors are those that give some contrast as the pictures of our products show.

    Thank you

    The Builder Depot

Carrara Venato 3x6" Polished $7.50SF - but dark gray grout chosen for a classic look

Carrara Venato 4x12" $8.00SF with light gray grout.

Yes I agree this was custom made by Chattahoochee Glass in Duluth GA. I would recommend getting a few quote and check referrals if you use a local company. In GA a 5' opening like this is about $1300
    Thank you

I am sorry I can not find a record of it. I think it is antique white. A light grey works well with this marble as well and wears a little better over time
    Thank you

We are doing our small ensuite bath & used 'Bright White" grout. It gives a beautiful seamless look with the large 12 by 24 tiles stacked end for end in carrera marble. .....Barbara

Hi. We make our own bullnose. You can use a special blade that will give you a
cove. But we just sand it using a palm sander and we keep using finer grade sand paper. It does not take very long
    Good luck and thanks

White carrera is honed meaning it is not shiny (polished)
We use a really small grout joint (about an 1/8" or less)
You may also want to seal it since it is a natural stone
    Thank you

Natural Stone. Most stone tile does not come with trim pieces because the edges can be ground down to soften them. In this cararra marble bath, there are no trim pieces, just smooth edges.

Carrara: More readily available, Carrara marble is a beautiful and classic choice for bathrooms.
