To get a bed between a single and a double you will probably have to have it custom made - both the mattress and frame. I did this to make a bed frame that would take a 75"X48" latex foam mattress.

Wendy, Thanks. Glad you like the bed cover. Not sure where it came from actually. Sorry.

                2. Tidy up the guest room. If you had overnight visitors for the holidays, change the sheets and clean the room. Having clean sheets on the bed and a tidy room will make it much easier the next time you host overnight guests.

                3. A guest bedroom. Perhaps your adult children live out of town and stay for several nights when they visit. Or maybe other friends or family members often bunk in your home. A dedicated guest room might be just what you need. To make this a relatively inexpensive project, you might repurpose some furniture from a child’s former bedroom. A fresh coat of paint, new bedding, and updated accessories may be all you need to complete its new look.See bedding products

                68. This San Francisco bedscape includes salvaged-wood nightstands and grain-sack-covered throw pillows to add a rustic edge to the calming space.

Leave empty space on the nightstands. Guests will need it for water, a magazine and a mobile phone. I love the uncluttered nightstands and dresser in my guest room — I struggle to achieve the look in my own bedroom. Also, that top dresser drawer is off-limits to you. I know it seems like a waste of good storage space, but your guests deserve some space for their unmentionables, as well as some hanger space in the closet.

Love Your Room LLC added this to How to Mix Wood Furniture FinishesDec 8, 2011

Change the style of a room by adding mixed wood finishes. If your style has changed from strictly contemporary to a more rustic look, you do not have to give up your bed frame! Soften a modern bed frame by adding light distressed wood side tables. The linen hemp pillows on the bed tie the look together.
