Contemporary Landscape, Charlotte
This trio of rusting iron spheres was used to speak to the granite spheres in the front yard. The design styles were different from front garden to back garden so I felt it important to have some connection to bring about a sense of cohesion.
The aspaliered Bloodgood maple speaks to the standard form Bloodgood opposite the patio area as well as to the aspaliered apple trees on the opposite side. This comparison/contrast keeps the eye moving around the space.
