Do you know the brand and style of the hot tub?

I do not recollect. This was some time ago. having said that, most tubs cab be mounted in this same way, you just need clearance below. what you don't see in the picture is that there is 8' of clearance below to the ground. So we built an engineered deck below to support it.

This was a very unique renovation. The pool is actually placed within another pool. The former owner tried to build a larger pool but the city shut them down. As such they put a smaller one which was compliant with local building code. When we got to it the existing deck had been 'diy'ed together and was rotting in many places. Instead of work with a bad situation, we ripped the entirety down and donated the salvageable wood to a local shop. We then did a shallow deck above the large previous pool and seamlessly tied this in with the rest of the deck that stood from 5'-11' above grade. We did bring in an engineer to give us specs on supporting the hot tub as this was an addition and located outside the larger pool structure.

    Good luck with your deck!

Sometimes photos get incorrectly categorized. We will do our best to avoid this in the future. Thanks for noticing.

So sorry for the late reply...I just found out I had questions waiting to be answers! Anyway, a big thank you to Anne for helping out! I'm not sure if that was us or houzz for the mislabel. We'll try to avoid this in the future.

So sorry for the late reply...I just found out I had questions waiting to be answers! Anyway, it is indeed a rough cut, knotty, red cedar that was screwed and plugged then sanded in place. We used a stain from General Paint to finish it off.
