    Hi Cynthia,
Many thanks for the detailed and very well-informed response. I'll try to take my time and try applying samples before committing. Love the tip of c2 paints. I'll check them out.

    Hi again, Cindy.

Thanks for your nice appreciation! I should also mention that the sheen level of the paint is another important factor. I love the new washable flat finish because it is non-reflective and looks very rich. It masks minor wall problems too.

However, if you are painting an area that you need to be able to scrub regularly, step up to an eggshell finish. Again, this is where the quality of the paint is going to shine through. Higher end paint is made of better ingredients which mean better performance.

I should also mention that C2 will sell you the "ultimate paint chip" at 18" x 24" (see http://www.c2paint.com/store/product.php?productid=16149&cat=0&page=1) so you don't need to actually paint samples onto your wall. All C2 samples, whether they are the small ones at the store or the ultimate paint chip, are made using real paint, not printing inks.

And I should mention that all C2 paints are individual, i.e. they are not shaded up and down to lighter and darker versions. But you can ask the store to give you samples at whatever percentage of the formula you like, whether it's 10% or 200% You only have to be careful when you add more than (guessing) 200% because you are altering the balance of pigment to medium so much that it can alter performance of the paint.

Since you're looking at white, that last bit of information is probably redundant, but you may get hooked on C2 and consider it for other areas in your home!

Adding floor cushions to your living room will not only give little ones a soft place to land, they can pack a punch. Choose cushions in bright colors and graphic patterns and instantly inject fun into an otherwise neutral space.
