    Walnut Wood Works

    Hi Jombie,

Butcher blocks are not heat resistant, they are wood after all! But we do say that hot out of the oven is fine, but hot off the stove is not. With that being said, if you were to get a burn mark you would just need to sand it off and reapply your finish.

    Hope I could help!

    Thank you

We do not do many stove/ranges at the island, but we do a lot of cook tops at the island and we believe within the correct cooking triangle, it is the most functional kitchen layout.

Like the wood countertop in the island and the cabinet colors - light on top, subtle blue on bottom. Not sure I'd want to do this but I really like the effect and would consider it.
