Cross Keys DesignsTraditional Family Room, New York

This open area marries old to new. The four story staircase is a wide space taking you from the lower level to the "widow"s walk" and attic. This newly constructed staircase is a close replica of the original in the formal entry. Natural light pours in on every level from well placed windows in various sizes and styles. The cathedral ceiling is given a casual treatment with unfinished beadboard. The client uses family antiques and artwork, mixed with new "Made in America" sofas.

That is an antique oak dresser with a marble top that belonged to the homeowner. I believe it was a family piece.
