Where can I get this desk

The entire office is custom from Rising Sun Woodworking. It's a painted base with a clear, heart pine top and leather cup pulls from Turnstyle.

    Hi 2020House,
The custom bookcases have a 2" frame, then a 1/2" reveal, and 6" wide verticals between each bookcase. With the exception of the floor base, all else is flush.

One more question, where can I purchase the lights on the bookshelves?

- Thank you so much!

  • PRO
    Foley Fiore Architecture
The light fixtures on the bookshelves are mast lights from the British company Marston & Langinger.

And I would put a telescope on my desk - for breaks, of course....

Is that an ergonomic chair?

    Hi rpvqt,
That is the Owner's chair. It appears to be an Aeron Chair, by Herman Miller.

found my 1200$ HMiller chair at an office furniture re-sale store for $400. Worth every dollar. I am sitting most of the day working at it has saved my bottom and back.

Can you give us an idea of how much the custom cabinets and desk were?

Thank you for your inquiry. Out of respect for our clients privacy, I'm afraid we do not share costs of projects or portions that cannot be purchased retail. I'm sure if you discussed this with a good cabinetmaker in your area they would be happy to provide a price for a similar installation. I hope you understand.

Very helpful. I love the use of this space. If only we could all have that lovely view!

This photo is taken from the entry to the room. The desk sits against the outside wall of the house - there is no escape in that direction!

    Carlisle Wide Plank Floors

The Eastern White Pine flooring seems like a great fit here, and graded for less knots so it doesn't look so rustic. The color is very traditional, almost looks like the floors have been there forever, and developed their rich patina.

Is this design too crowded

- Does this design get too crowded?

Thank you for your inquiry. This particular client was looking for a small home office/library that would not be used as their primary work space (they both worked in offices outside the home). If this were a primary work space (for someone who worked from home), perhaps more space would make sense.

I love the office. Having a window enlightens and energizes one's day. Everything is close and back is to the door to contain more disruption.

    Lovely.
