What is the stain brand and color?

The color was a custom mix to match a sample the client preferred. Sorry we can't be of more help.

I believe it's five foot square, but you should contact the interior designer to verify, Alana Homesley Interior Design. It certainly a square in shape and not a rectangle. It's very comfortable for speaking across, and it suits the room perfectly. It's American Walnut and absolutely beautiful. www.alanahomesley.com

    Hi Katie,

I'm assuming you ask because of the lack of knots. The wood is a "clear heart select" grade cedar that has a specially milled tongue and groove to repeat a 4" linear pattern. We chose this grade cedar because the client preferred no knots.

    Hope that helps!

We did not select the furnishings. The interior designer did and would know. Alana Homesley Interior Design.

    Absolutely. Thanks for the compliments.

The wood ceiling is a "clear heart select" grade cedar 1x nominal thickness (3/4" actual) specially milled tongue and groove to repeat a 4" linear pattern. We chose this grade cedar because the client preferred no knots. The groove is a 1/4" x 1/4" square groove profile, not to be confused with your "off the shelf" standard "V" groove. Once installed unfinished, it's stained in place and then a spray applied low sheen polyurethane finishes the process. Our contractor took special care to cut each small aperture downlight into the cedar ceiling. He did an outstanding job. Wilson Construction in Manhattan Beach.
