    Hi Terri,
    I actually like the yellow door. Beach houses give you a chance to do something fun that you can't do in other locations, plus it's a complementary color. The only thing that would help is to add an accent trim color so that you make the window frames pop more. It adds depth if you paint a darker color as the accent. The color of the trim on Drummond is Spectrum Brown - its a Pratt Lambert color, but you might think about a dark blue or deep blue green color. If you Google San Francisco or Seattle Exterior paint colors and look under Images, you can get lots of good inspiration.
