Just realized this toilet/cistern system is in England. I just searched the internet for your gerberit product and realized that. I don't have a showroom/distributor in my state. I'm hoping we have a similar product system available here in the US.....where I can gain feedback from plumbing professionals.
  • tracy6
Make sure your local building code allows this type of toilet tank and then find a plumber willing and able to install it..Good luck!

The placement of the WC will always depend on the layout of the room. In this case you cannot place the vanity unit near the window as it will overlap the cill so here the alcove created a perfect nook to place the WC and cistern in and by frosting the window you still get privacy.

Laura - thanks for taking time to post, makes perfect sense now.

Its from an italian company called Lifetile - Alaska Octagano with black taco insert. If you search for Octagano tile with black taco insert many suppliers do a similar version.

We use the Geberit Duofix WC frame which comes with UP200 cistern. This allows a low level installation. I'm not sure if this is available outside the uk.

  • PRO
    Laura Hammett Ltd
Yes the grout is black and the tile size is 150mm x 150mm.
I would only use black grout if the tiles you are using are quite dark and here we were picking up the accent of the smaller tile. As a rule of thumb always try and match you grout colour to your tile colour.

would this type toilet/flushing system work on second story. Is this way more expensive than regular setup? This is such a clean look

Perhaps it is marble. It looks to be about 1" thick at the edge as well as where the sink is undermounted. Marble can show stains.
You could get a similar look using a solid surface countertop such as Corian. Corian vanities can be made with integral sinks but they could also undermount any bowl.

    Leo Dowell Interiors
There are tons of French Country books out there and thousands of photos on the internet. However, a lot of them are reinterpretations, and stray pretty far from the original designs. Country French interiors were mixes of dressy and casual. What we think of today as Country French really developed over a number of years. A farm house might have been renovated and added to along with larger windows and updated furnishings. So you have to consider which period of time their interiors appeal to you the most. No one wants to live in a museum any more so you don't have to just use formal or all casual. But what I fell in love with is the clever mix of simple pieces with spectacular ones the French do so well. They were not afraid to express themselves and know how to smell the roses. Have fun. Leo

                                  4. Cull the clutter. Bathrooms should be neat and tidy. There should be plenty of storage to stash everyday toiletries, leaving space to display fluffy towels, scented candles and pretty jars and soaps. The better you make your house look for the photos, open house or viewings, the quicker it will sell, so stash your odds and ends out of sight — and always put the toilet seat down!
