Lots of storage in this kitchen and workspace. Keeping with the craftsman feeling of the house. New natural red birch craftsman storage cabinet connects well to the painted kitchen cabinets.

Another item on the client’s wish list was a built-in doggie station for their two large dogs. This custom unit was designed with convenience in mind: a handy pot-filler was hard piped in for easy water bowl refills. The same glass backsplash tile and granite counter top were used to match the rest of the kitchen, and LED lights brighten the space the same way the undercabinet lights do. Rubber-bottomed dog bowls prevent any accidental spills, which are easy to clean up should they occur. Now the dogs have their own place to eat and drink, and the clients won’t be tripping over dog bowls in the floor!

Eat-in kitchen - large mediterranean u-shaped travertine floor, beige floor and exposed beam eat-in kitchen idea in Orange County with a farmhouse sink, shaker cabinets, white cabinets, quartzite countertops, beige backsplash, mosaic tile backsplash, stainless steel appliances, an island and beige countertops

A few words our clients used to describe their dream kitchen: nothing shiny, comfort, cooking, rustic, utilitarian. Aside from the sheen on that bronze hardware, looks about right to us!

This open plan kitchen design features an asymmetrical bar height island, dark wood shaker style cabinets, a mosaic glass tile backsplash, and undercabinet lighting with a plug mold.

The kitchen with white vertical tiling on the walls, white marble countertops, cornflower blue upper and lower cabinets, and open shelving dressed with plants and cookbooks. A butcher block countertop warms the space up, underneath an inexpensive Ikea version of the famous artichoke pendant lamp. A view through to the dining space shows everything is coordinated, toned, and harmonious.

This 1920s colonial had “great bones” but the small, dark galley kitchen needed an overhaul. Studio Dearborn designed a fresh, inviting space with white and navy inset cabinetry crafted from solid maple. The navy blue island, albeit small, packs a ton of storage. The island is color matched to Benjamin Moore Hale Navy. White cabinetry in Benjamin Moore’s White Opulence, with white cararra marble countertops and white thassos mosaic backsplash keep the kitchen feeling light and airy. A banquette provides cozy family seating near the bar. Photography by Tim Lenz. Architect, Greg Lewis.

A refreshed galley kitchen layout from the 90s featured new cabinets, glass tiel backsplash, recessed ceiling can lights, and stainless steel electrical outlets and faceplates—complete with integrated USB ports. Breakfast island features built-in wine cubbies. Before photo shows the previous peninsula desk—now a standard cabinet design.

This kitchen has a new layout which resulted in more organized storage and work space. A flush mounted ceiling hood give it an open feel. A custom baking center keeps like items in their proper place and accessible. Off white glazed cabinets and ogee edged quartz countertops make an elegant statement. A raised live-edge bar and beverage cooler make entertaining a breeze.

By moving the exterior wall to the patio out two feet, we were able to create an open kitchen/dining/living space in perfect proportion for this mid-century style home. This extra space allowed us to transform the existing galley kitchen into a U-shape with a peninsula bar. The blue base cabinets pack a punch of color, while the white uppers and backsplash create a light and airy space that looks bigger than the actual square footage.

At our Modern Farmhouse project, we completely remodeled the entire home and modified the kitchens existing layout allowing this new layout to take shape.
As you see here, we have the custom 1/4 Sawn Oak island with marble quartz 2 1/2" mitered countertops. To add a pop of color, the entire home is accented in beautiful black hardware. In the 12' island, we have a farmhouse sink, pull out trash and drawers for storage. We did custom end panels on the sides, and wrapped the entire island in furniture base to really make it look like a furniture piece.
On the range wall, we have a drywall hood that really continues to add texture to the style. We have custom uppers that go all the way to the counter, with lift up appliance garages for small appliances. All the perimeter cabinetry is in swiss coffee with black honed granite counters.
