This new home construction project included cabinet design-build for the kitchen, master bath, all secondary baths, living room built-ins, home office and wet bar. In this Victorian home on Capitol Hill, the interior had been gut renovated by a developer to match a modern farmhouse aesthetic which did not reflect our client. Our scope included a complete overhaul of the primary bathroom and powder room, a heavy kitchen refresh, along with new hardware, doors, paint, lighting, furnishings and window treatments throughout the home. Our goal was to also elevate the home’s architectural details, including a new stair rail, back to what could have been original millwork while creating a feminine, sophisticated space for a family of 5 (plus one adorable furry friend).

Modern design that balances elegance with natural warmth. The perimeter of the kitchen is framed with sleek, black-painted cabinets, exuding a contemporary and refined atmosphere. The cabinetry is paired with polished gold hardware, which adds a luxurious touch and a hint of warmth, creating a striking contrast with the deep, matte black finish. Paired with rifted white oak island and quartz countertops with a waterfall edge.

This modern organic kitchen blends rift white oak cabinetry with warm white uppers and a spacious island topped in quartz. Woven rattan counter stools introduce natural texture, while black dome pendants add bold contrast. A vertical picket marble backsplash and brass fixtures complete the light-filled, inviting space.
