I have completely flat, normal walls in my dining room. However, I want them to look like the old stone portion of this design. Was the stone already there? Or did you add it in?

Can you tell me how you protected the concrete wall so mold doesn't grow?

We purchased the glass shower enclosure, including the pivot hinge and header, from a local glass company that provides custom work. Here is the website for Pen-Bay Glass, who we often use: http://www.penbayglass.com/

    Thanks for your interest!

We purchased the vanity from a company called Decorum, which has since closed so we unfortunately can't track the manufacturing source. There is a partial glimpse of the vanity in one of the other Hunting Island photos (see the window shot with sheer curtain and lavender in a vase on the window sill).

    Thanks for your interest!

The shower dimensions are 3' x 3'6"... smaller than it looks! That's the value of having glass on two sides. Thanks for your interest!

Exposed plumbing. Plumbing doesn't always have to be buried in a wall. There are many styles of plumbing where portions of the pipes are exposed. Pair this style of plumbing with rustic or modern finishes for a surprising edgy detail.

Natural stone shower tile keeps the main bathroom's look in line with the rest of the home. A stencil on the stained concrete floor adds a subtle decorative element. Fixtures: Rohl; stenciled floor pattern: Jill Valliere Design

Work the new into the old. This modern glass shower disappears into the stone wall. The whitewashed, wide-plank Z door adds softness to this weathered room. Rough wood above is the perfect ceiling choice. Carry the look all the way through every detail with antique hooks and door latches. Keep it honest with exposed plumbing and electrical conduits whenever possible.
