Remember the power of flowers. In artwork or in a vase, blooms add a punch of hot color to a cool, glamorous style.

Drewett Works
This Paradise Valley stunner was a down-to-the-studs renovation. The owner, a successful business woman and owner of Bungalow Scottsdale -- a fabulous furnishings store, had a very clear vision. DW's mission was to re-imagine the 1970's solid block home into a modern and open place for a family of three. The house initially was very compartmentalized including lots of small rooms and too many doors to count. With a mantra of simplify, simplify, simplify, Architect CP Drewett began to look for the hidden order to craft a space that lived well.
This residence is a Moroccan world of white topped with classic Morrish patterning and finished with the owner's fabulous taste. The kitchen was established as the home's center to facilitate the owner's heart and swagger for entertaining. The public spaces were reimagined with a focus on hospitality. Practicing great restraint with the architecture set the stage for the owner to showcase objects in space. Her fantastic collection includes a glass-top faux elephant tusk table from the set of the infamous 80's television series, Dallas.
It was a joy to create, collaborate, and now celebrate this amazing home.

In the entry of this contemporary, Frank Lloyd Wright style home, we kept it very simple and clean. The stone wall is a great architectural feature which stretches from the exterior on into the Foyer. The view through the windows is of a natural forest behind the home. So, I selected organic and sculptural pieces that would complement and accentuate all of these features. The Oushak rug is the same palette as the stone wall. The all glass table's transparency did not detract from the view. The sculptural wood horse in the background is actually a hundred plus year old paper mache mold for toy horses that came from Indonesia. Last but not least, the decorative, stone bowl centerpiece on the glass table sort of grounds the room, while adding a pop of color with the fresh flowers which it usually contains.

This client wanted a fresh start, taking only minimal items from her old house when she moved. We gave the kitchen and half bath a facelift, and then decorated the rest of the house with all new furniture and decor, while incorporating her unique and funky art and family pieces. The result is a house filled with fun and unexpected surprises, one of our favorites to date!

This fresh and invigorating entryway plays with a fascinating combination of green and blue hues. A geometric wallpaper, painted bench and vintage coat rack create a free-spirited mix.
