It is certainly possible to alter almost any plan to accommodate single story living, yes...We are flattered that you would consider us! Where are you located? We build in south central PA.

I live in KY, but I am so willing to come your way and let you help me design my home when we are ready. I have looked at many designs and I love this particular first floor layout. Thank you for your response.

Hello, that piece is from Hooker Furniture. We also have an in-house interior design team, Farinelli Design Studio. If you are local to the Harrisburg area let me know if you'd like more information. Thanks!

Thank you! The columns are about 10" square at the base. Yes, all three sides in this case are the same. As far as the inset you see... there is a 3/8" rectangular inset at the top, middle and base portion of the column to match the shaker wall paneling.

The arch opening is approximately 6 feet wide, and 8 feet high to the top of the arch (between the columns) the foyer itself is 10 feet at the highest part, down to approximately 8.5 feet on the sides. The wainscoting is approximately 42"

Thank you!! There are many colors that have a hint of gray to them that Sherwin Williams carries - 'Agreeable Gray' and 'Repose Gray' are two that come to mind, although they have a little stronger color than 'Patience' does. If you get on their website http://www.sherwin-williams.com/homeowners/ and click on the explore colors link it will allow you to search by color family to find the perfect shade! Hope this helps!

First off, thank you so much! The color appears a little darker in this image than it actually is. For a more accurate depiction of the color, feel free to check out other images from the Home-a-Rama album! This particular walnut appears darker than some due the 'smoke' accents that have been added to it. Staining walnut can mask the beauty of the graining, and due to the nature of the grain, can cause issues with uneven color distribution, creating a 'blotchy' look, although Black Walnut is not as prone to blotching. Hope this helps!
