Hi! Can you tell me where the daybed came from?

The homeowner added it to the house after it was constructed so we don't have the specifics, but there are many sources for these. We have seen them built by a carpenter on site, but you can also find them ready-made online. Here is just one source we are aware of: http://www.originalcharlestonbedswing.com/Main.html

I contacted Sherwin Williams about this color and they could not find it?

French Quarter Green is truly a color that is used on many of the shutters in the quarter. It is a special mix. Ask your Sherwin Williams to call a store down in New Orleans, they will give him the paint color. I promise you will get it! It is a beautiful color! Susan from New Orleans

Thank you for your inquiry and compliment. The installation of these shutters was done at the time the home was built. The upper panels are fixed with fixed louvers. The lower panels are also fixed louvers but they are operable (they can be open, as shown, or closed for privacy). The shutters at the door are also operable. Our drawings specified shutters, but the technicalities of their installation was handled by the general contractor. We would suggest that you work with your contractor and/or or shutter manufacturer to address the specifics of your project. Good luck!

Hello! The paint information is already listed as an answer to a previous question. Just return to the photo and read through the questions on the right. Another tip, if you hover your mouse over a photo and see a green tag pop up next to an item in the photo, that means there is information on the product. We've tagged the shutters with source information. Just click or view the green tag for info.

If you want to know more about information that can be found in a Houzz photo, check out this article:

    Our Town Plans
The wood in the railing (at steps) is called out on the construction documents as 1x4's with a butt joints that allows for expansion and contraction of the wood - so a little gap is often visible. The original design was a simple circle that can be created with a core drill.

You should be able to find all of the information on the Houzz page of Our Town Plans. Here is a link to the specific plan picture above: 27 Cape San Blas and this is a very similar home (just a few modifications): 27 Aiken Street. For more information, visit Our Town Plans Website. Here's a direct link to the floorplan of 27 Cape San Blas on the Our Town Plans website: plan.

It was custom made. You can, however, find companies that manufacturer these right here on Houzz if you search in the SHOP section.
