Ii have a sink like this that we want to install at our lake cottage. I am wondering how you handled the countertop in the front of the sink.

Whoops! Sorry. Just saw this comment. They're heavy, aren't they? The sink actually fit in the former counter cut-out. The cabinet is very heavy-duty, plywood. It was there when we bought the house. The counter used to have a modern stainless steel sink. The counter is 25" deep (standard) but our sink is only 22". So we installed a strip of ironwood behind it and ran the soap dispenser, hot water only spray, and filtered water, up the back. The sink front sits perhaps 1/4 back from the front counter edge. We're in the middle of remodel, and when the sink goes back into its new location, the water filter will feed directly into the cold water. No extra tap. Good luck!
