The rug is indeed gorgeous, one , of a kind and I love it, However, it could be a killer of a rug for someone with balance problems like the elderly with so many different levels. I would use it as a wall hanging to make it look like a living wall....no balance problems with that!!!

Give your feet varying textures. The thick pile of this carpet has a whimsical image and muffles sound. It also cradles the bare feet that touch it; each step across it is a mini foot massage.

This forest-floor rug from Angela Adams is over-the-top amazing. It may be highly impractical (unless you live in a design magazine), but it sure is cool.

Make a bold statement with a rug inspired by the forest floor. This must feel incredible under bare feet.

Put nature under your feet with this spectacular and multi-dimensional rug. There's a festival of colors and shapes here with a very organic feel.

Just when you think there is soft moss between your toes, you quickly realize this three-dimension rug has gotten the best of you. A showstopper indeed, this handwoven rug's design and texture epitomizes the beauty of human ingenuity. More: 11 Area Rug Rules and How to Break Them Browse more photos of rugs in home design

      4. Rugs. Compensate for a lack of wall hangings or paint, if not allowed, with a larger-than-life rug. Bring the focal point down to what you can control in your space.
