What Houzz contributors are saying:
How to Choose Comfortable Bar StoolsComfort will depend on your personal taste, but you also need to consider whether small children or elderly people are going to be primary users of your stools. Backless stools like these can be perfect where space is limited, or where a minimalistic look is wanted. But bear in mind that most adults will not want to sit there for long, and young ones might find it tempting to lean backward, so consider stools with back for more comfort.
5. Hang patterned shades. Instead of going with a solid neutral, pick out a colorful printed fabric to use for your Roman shades or roller blinds. Match it to your cabinets or use the shades as the major pop of color in an otherwise neutral space.

Wow. Look at this color! We like the crown molding. It would need to touch the ceiling, though. Interesting island design with seating on two sides and a separate workstation perpendicular. It’s close to what we have in mind for the island. It’s missing the “cupboards” underneath, though.
