I'm afraid this is the only shot I have. The desk came from a shop in Brighton uk. Check out the website: http://www.alexmacarthur.co.uk

Restoration Hardware also sold it as a "French Factory Desk," but I don't think they have it anymore

Awesome! - Did you lower the crown molding, or is it simple trim separating the dark and light wall areas?

What Houzz contributors are saying:

April and the Bear added this to How to Add Just the Right Amount of Dramatic Black
Create an illusion. Where you choose to use light and dark colors can have a huge influence on a space. In this lofty white room, the ceiling and walls down to the picture rail have been painted black, helping to visually lower the high ceiling for a much cozier mood. Or try painting the end wall of a long, narrow room black to visually bring it forward.
Jo Simmons added this to The Missing Piece in Your Room Design
Paint above the picture rail. Take the idea of a feature wall and apply it to the space above a picture rail. You can extend the color to the ceiling, too, for greater impact.
