Example of a farmhouse bedroom design in Atlanta

From Pre-Fab to Farmhouse

Farmhouse Bedroom, Atlanta

A guest room tucked at the back of this Georgia farmhouse occupies part of the original structure, and a small addition creates a “sleeping porch” for grandchildren. Antique twin beds lend age to the addition, as do the horizontal butt board walls, wrapping casement windows, sliding French doors and painted wood floor. Together, these elements create the impression that the charming and playful space was originally a porch and later enclosed. Photography: Blayne Beacham Macauley
