This is the use of appropriate scale - appropriate scale being the actual and relative size and weight, overall size - such as largeness and smallness of an object, room or pattern. This is a good example of appropriate scale because of the furnishings and architecture equaling in relative mass and size. The large entryway is well equipped with relatively large massed furniture as well as a large rug that makes the room feel full but not overwhelming.
