Oh I see now! I was looking at the refrigerator! It looked to me like there was a door there, hinged in the center! My apologies. . .

What colour did you paint the walls?

Beautiful kitchen. Wonderful colours. Your butler's pantry is similar to an idea I had for my dinette. Could you tell me the dimensions of the lower cabinets? Thank you.

Thanks! The lower cabinets are standard counter cabinet height (34 1/2" before counter surface) and they are 18" deep.

The peninsula cabinets are in "Slate" - a painted finish offered by the cabinet manufacturer. (Brookhaven).

The stools are from Pottery Barn.

The spacing between the peninsula and the perimeter cabinetry is 40" on both sides. We'd likely recommend sticking with that spacing for easy flow throughout the space.

Hello! Thanks for your comment. The length of the wall your are wondering about is approximately 113" (not including the refrigerator and its side panels).

Sure thing! A slightly rounded square edge is called an "eased edge."

What Houzz contributors are saying:

Cons:Creates more waste, because many boards will need to be mitered at the edges rather than meeting at simple parallels.Installers won’t have an easy starting point and will need a bit more skill, especially for a pattern at an odd angle (one other than the common 45-degree angle).
