Golden Currant
Landscape, Los Angeles
Golden Currant (Ribes aureum) is a favorite of birds, hummingbirds, butterflies and other pollinators. While many birds adore its berries, the hummingbirds and monarchs delight in the nectar from its golden flowers.
People may give wildlife a little competition. Golden Currant (Gooseberries) are edible!
