What about having the first island on an angle facing outward and having the stovetop and then having the second island CURVED and all the seats face the island where I cook. It might almost draw everyone into the kitchen by having it curve rather than separate islands that face a more limited space.

Double island/bar seating. No sink in serving seating bar.
