HGTV KitchenTransitional Laundry Room, Los Angeles

The budget didn't allow for cabinetry so we re-purposed the old kitchen uppers by painting them and adding a painted shelf above to extend across the window.
The counter was made from an unfinished, unbore stain grade door from Lowes. We added a trim to the front and a coat of stain and it's a beautiful, inexpensive folding counter.

Hi. I think that would depend on lighting. If you have adequate lighting, light flooring and ceiling, it should be just fine. It's a beautiful color; very rich and vibrant!

It could be a bit intense. I would suggest toning it down just a bit with a little of an umber base, so you will get the same idea, but won't be so caring for people when they are in there.

Hi. This is fixed counter for folding clothes. I can see how the description might get confusing, but it doesn't fold up :-). The counter is fixed in place. You could probably do something similar and leave a space on the side for your brooms and other misc items. Hope this helps. Good luck with your project.

Hi. No. There's a support in the center and around the perimeter of the wall. Basically 1 x 2 material. You should leave a clearance between the washer and dryer otherwise the door will rattle when the machines are in use. Hope this helps.

I think it would depend on the amount of light in the room; if the light fixture was adequate. Also, a light floor and ceiling would help. It's a beautiful vibrant color and looks beautiful in contrast to light or white molding.

Hi. It's 72"W x 32" which was trimmed down from a full height door.
