Hi Gloss Laundry Room

Transitional Laundry Room, Chicago

This hardworking mud/laundry room went from dingy to fresh. It is a great example of white NOT making a poorly lit, windowless room "light and airy" -
it just made it gray, dingy and scuff-marked. The fresh hi-gloss walls recede yet bounce needed light around the room and
draw your eye up to the new chrome light fixture, making the industrial-chic space feel extra tall and bright. DIY projects including a utility sink skirt made from a shower curtain, salvaged old window turned mirror/bulletin board and a dry erase garage door make this room personal and fun.
It is now a family-friendly, functional and stylish space worthy of being “off the kitchen.” Cathy Zaeske
