The spheres in the fireplace are part of a geometric shape line that most local bbq/artificial log shops carry. We use them to update our designs from our traditional "glass" burner trays.

What is the material on the wall above the fireplace?

You can find it at Zgallerie.com, under the name "Indochine."

Kudos on an amazing transformation, both exterior and interior! LIGHT & SPACE!!! Wonderful!!! Is that artificial grass between the rectangle slabs?

These are the famous Trina Turk Pillows! From our local Palm Springs shop. They can be pricey but are always fab.

The couch is a limited time item that is currently out of stock. It was called Sackville Sofa when it was purchased.

This cushion was purchased from Trina Turk. They are pillow leaders of Palm Springs in our opinion!

AFTER: In the open living room and kitchen, the black wallcovering and gray carpet made way for tile and lots of glass — in the form of new dual-pane, low-emissivity windows — to overlook the pool area. The designers repainted the original tongue-and-groove ceiling and installed hidden track lights. They also played up the home’s original fireplace, adding midcentury panels and columns for a more of-the-time look. Blue and gray. I love the combination of blue and gray. It looks very appropriate in a contemporary space, and it’s also a terrific choice for a warm, sun-filled room that could use a little cooldown. Why not choose a beautiful, big blue area rug? It will look like a refreshing swimming hole in the middle of the floor. Of course, this is a situation where having a “hole” in your floor is a good thing. Go for a grayish-white color for the walls and you’ll create an elegant room with an unmistakable cool factor.Paint color to try: Ice Cube by Sherwin-Williams

AFTER: The layout of the living room pretty much stayed the same. The original tongue and groove ceiling got a coat of fresh paint and new track lighting tucked behind the beams. The furnishings are a mix of pieces from local stores, online shops and national chains. After purchasing the home, the new owners signed a separate contract to buy all the furnishings just the way Hawkes and Kemper had arranged them.
